Stuttgart cobre tanques de esgoto com 2,7 MWp de solar retrátil
A Stadtentwässerung Stuttgart anunciou em 29/10/2026 um telhado fotovoltaico retrátil sobre os tanques de aeração do Hauptklärwerk Mühlhausen: 2.745 kWp em 5.280 módulos e 120 grupos móveis a cerca de 5 m acima dos tanques. A geração prevista supera 2,2 GWh por ano, perto de 9% do consumo da estação, com primeira energia no segundo trimestre de 2027.
O desenho responde a uma premissa frágil em solar sobre infraestrutura: a de que o equipamento de cima não atrapalha o de baixo. Os módulos recolhem com neve, vento forte, granizo e à noite, e os tanques seguem acessíveis. O risco climático fica com o ativo solar, não com o tratamento.
A Diretiva (UE) 2024/3019 dá o contexto. A energia renovável gerada pelos operadores de estações acima de 10 mil habitantes-equivalentes deve equivaler, no agregado de cada país, a 20% do consumo dessas estações até 2030 e a 100% até 2045, sem contar renovável comprada.
Os 9% mostram a distância. As auditorias energéticas obrigatórias da diretiva apontam para eficiência, biogás e calor recuperado. A solar soma onde não disputa espaço com a operação.

Stadtentwässerung Stuttgart announced on 29/10/2026 a retractable PV roof over the aeration tanks of the Mühlhausen main treatment plant: 2,745 kWp in 5,280 modules and 120 movable groups about 5 m above the tanks. Expected output is over 2.2 GWh a year, close to 9% of the plant's demand, with first power in the second quarter of 2027.
The design answers a fragile premise for solar on top of infrastructure: that the equipment above does not get in the way of the one below. The modules retract in snow, strong wind, hail and at night, and the tanks stay accessible. Weather risk stays with the solar asset, not with wastewater treatment.
Directive (EU) 2024/3019 sets the context. Renewable energy generated by operators of plants above 10,000 population equivalent must equal, in each country's aggregate, 20% of those plants' energy use by 2030 and 100% by 2045, excluding purchased renewables.
The 9% shows the distance. The directive's mandatory energy audits point to efficiency, biogas and recovered heat. Solar adds where it does not compete with operations for space.
