HyperStrong announced it has been included in BloombergNEF's Tier 1 list of energy storage providers for the third quarter of 2026. According to the company, it has delivered more than 60 GWh across more than 400 projects in over 30 countries, backed by 15 years of research and development.

The list criteria are objective. Under BNEF's methodology of 15 August 2026, a manufacturer needs own products in at least six projects of 10 MW or 10 MWh over the past two years, with at least three independent buyers and, since August, at least one project with non-recourse financing from two commercial banks.

BNEF itself sets the limits: Tier 1 measures market acceptance, not product quality or financial health, and only the latest list is valid, since a company can drop out in any quarter.

For those financing batteries, the label eases the conversation with banks. The asset's value over the years still depends on the warranty and on the manufacturer being present midway through the contract.
