What supports each analysis.

The rules every Linus piece follows before it is published. They apply to LinkedIn and to this site.

Sources

  • At least one named external source, at most two, from an origin different from the original publication.
  • Preference for the primary source: body, document and date, with declared scope.
  • The source must have been consulted and must support the statement. Only open, checked links go in.
  • A company announcement confirms the announcement, not future performance.
  • Announcement, intention, memorandum, approved financing, final investment decision, construction and operation are different stages and get different names. The same applies to proposal, consultation, bill, published law, regulation and entry into force.
  • "Estimates", "forecasts", "may" and "according to the company" are preserved.

Structure

  1. Central fact and source data, in a neutral register.
  2. Specific reading, anchored in a named external source within the sentence.
  3. Consequence in business language: what the fact unlocks and what it blocks, to the extent each side is real.
  4. Affirmative close with the most relevant consequence.

Angle

Each piece chooses an investment decision angle: who finances the initial investment; who pays for long-term operation and maintenance; which regulatory deadline or licence is open; which revenue is contracted and for how long; residual value and obsolescence; supply chain and single supplier; working capital and the gap to first revenue; who absorbs the risk when the assumption does not hold. The angle rotates to avoid repetition, without imposing a thesis the fact cannot bear.

What stays out

  • First person, experience attributed to someone, data outside a named source, own estimates, rounding, superlatives.
  • Full copies of third-party material. What goes in is our own summary, credit to the author and a link to the original publication.
  • Illustration presented as a record of a real project. The site's artwork is conceptual and labelled as such.

Language

Brazilian Portuguese. When the origin is foreign, the piece is published with an English version in the same post. On this site, every analysis has an English page.

Numbering

Analyses are numbered in sequence from the first piece published, with no restart. Corrections to a published piece keep the original number.
